International conference on aging and the elderly

The global population is becoming increasingly older, while the experiences of the elderly are becoming increasingly diverse. Many people have experienced social inequality when young, and many were born in a country different from the one in which they reach old age. Such experiences are reflected in the needs and lifestyles of the elderly. At an international conference to be held in Norrköping, 6-7 October 2016, researchers from all over the world will discuss how society best can cope with the increasing fraction of elderly in the population.

The conference is being arranged by the National Institute for the Study of Ageing and Later Life (NISAL) at Linköping University, together with the American publishing company Common Ground Publishing.

A preconference meeting will be held on 5 October, open for all interested.
