Registration
In order for you to have full access to course material and information and to be able to receive your grades, you must register to your courses on the Student Portal (study administrative service). It is possible to register after the start of the semester and only after the course has begun. The registration must be completed within the first two weeks of the course start. Please read more about study issues here.
Timetable
You can find the timetable for your courses on TimeEdit. Please note that the schedule will be available in mid-December.
Swedish courses
The university offers to exchange students a great variety of Swedish language courses. Find out more about the different levels and the content of the courses via the link below. You can sign up for one of them until early February by sending us an email at international@liu.se.
Residence permit and budget
If you come from a country outside the European Union/EEA and you will study for longer than three months in Sweden, you need to apply for a residence permit at the Swedish embassy/consulate in your home country. You can do that only after you have received your admission letter and the process can take 8-12 weeks. We strongly recommend that students apply as soon as possible after they have received their admission letter. Please read more about residence permits here and at the website of the Swedish Migration Agency.

If you would like to have an idea of how much money you will be needing in order to finance your exchange studies, a rough estimation of the monthly cost of living for a student in Linköping is approximately 8,500SEK. This does not include international traveling, out of the ordinary health care, course literature or furniture and extensive household equipment.
