During the course, you will learn to analyse linguistic and social aspects of interaction in institutions as well as mundane settings, attending to activity types, meaning, learning and understanding. You will study both verbal and nonverbal aspects of human action, including the use of technologies and artefacts in meaning-making. You will also study the historical roots of the approach, and learn to critically discuss theory and findings.
