Anette Kjellberg

Senior Lecturer

Participation can be viewed from different perspectives. As being a means in occupational therapy intervention or in the sense of setting up goals together with clients for participating in occupations in the home, in education, work, or in society.

Participation in everyday and community life

My work involves a combination of research and teaching in occupational therapy at the first and second-cycle levels, and supervision of doctoral students.

I am an examiner on the second year of the Occupational Therapy programme, and I lecture in occupational therapy and sociology. I supervise students and am an examining teacher for first and second-cycle degree projects. My teaching includes also the Master Programme in Occupational Therapy/Public Health Sciences/Speech and Language Pathology/Medical Education/Nursing/Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

I am course coordinator of two subject-specific courses in occupational therapy, second cycle:
• Health and participation within occupational therapy – a societal perspective (7.5 credits)
Occupational therapy in the area of psychiatric and/or cognitive disabilities (7.5 credits)

A focus of my research is on the environment’s interaction with participation and occupation, which means that the physical as well as the social environment are encompassed by the research field. The research I do is focused on participation in occupations in different environments for people with psychiatric and/or cognitive disabilities.

Collaboration with society at large

I collaborate with occupational therapists working in different areas, both municipal and county council employees as well as private and national actors. My principal research is within occupational therapy at the Department of Social and Welfare Studies (ISV). I am assistant supervisor to a doctoral student in the project Cognitive support as intervention at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKE).
