Techno-human collaboration in medical practice
Autonomous robotic surgery is developing fast and as a result, surgeons increasingly work and cooperate with smart technology. In my current project, I explore how AI robots collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff in medical practice. The project thereby contributes to an understanding of autonomous technologies in relation to the social context in which they operate. The project is situated within the branch of sociological research named Science and Technology Studies (STS) and involves field studies in California.
