Research

Research description

The general purpose of our research is to reveal mechanisms of immune tolerance in pregnancy and how failure of tolerance mechanisms can lead to pregnancy complications. In addition, inflammatory diseases like multiple sclerosis transiently improve and worsen during and after pregnancy, respectively, and therefore, immune regulation during pregnancy is used as a model to understand mechanisms of improvement and worsening of MS.
