Deformation characteristics of metallic materials

My research is about micro-mechanical behaviors and deformation mechanisms of dual phase materials.

I am working with several techniques for materials characterization, including electron microscopes (SEM and TEM), EBSD, synchrotron based high energy X-ray diffraction (HEXRD) and neutron diffraction (NeD). The work with HEXRD and NeD mainly focuses on the texture characterization and in-situ mechanical behavior study. Combined with crystallographic analysis, the underlying deformation mechanisms of metallic materials can be revealed, which shed light on the design of advanced structural materials with superior strength performance.
