I conduct research within behavioral economics and political economy.

I use economic experiments to investigate how psychological forces affect economic decision-making. Specifically, I am interested in when and why people use “moral wiggle rooms” to justify selfish behavior.

For example, I investigate how democratic decision-making affects (im) moral behavior, how information about procedural fairness affects selfish behavior and when and why people avoid information to make selfish decisions.
