Architect with diverse, creative assignments

As architect, Karolina Ganhammar is responsible for ensuring that the university's premises are used efficiently and that the spaces on the campuses are constantly developing. Work is underway on the new Student Building at Campus Valla, an exciting entrance and meeting place for everyone at the university.

At the Properties Division she and her colleagues work with a diverse range of issues, including campus planning, property management, examination services, plus a number of other interesting projects of varying scope and content.

Linköping University is committed to ensuring the best possible experience for its students, and the new Student Building at Campus Valla will reflect the University’s welcoming, open and intelligent atmosphere. The building will function as a meeting place where students and staff can get together, to study, work or exchange ideas. It will be a natural entrance to the campus and the University as a whole, where the visitor can get help with as many questions as possible from their first point of contact. The building has been designed for ecological, social and financial sustainability, and opens in 2019.
