Division of Cell Biology (CELLB)

The main research focus of the Division of Cell Biology is to understand the construction and function of cells.

This includes genetic and molecular studies as well as studies of cell communication and how different cells form tissues and organisms. By gaining an understanding of cell biological processes the ultimate goal of the research is to find new ways to prevent, diagnose and cure disease.

The division is involved in medical and biomedical education programs, both at undergraduate and Master’s level, as well as in education of PhD-students and post-doctoral fellows.
