BME@LiU 2021 was a conference day filled with activities to highlight the research conducted at LiU in the field of biomedical engineering. The ambition is to make BME@LiU 2021 a meeting place for all who are active in the field, in order to create collaboration and discussion.

Thank you!

Thank you for participating in BME@LiU 2021. We would appreciate if you took a few minutes and answered some questions about the conference. You find the link for that here.

When and where

Program 2021

BME@LiU 2021 took place February 18, 2021. The conference was digital and was broadcasted live via Youtube with lectures and a Digital Arena where posters and other material was presented. The conference was held in English.

What

For many years Sweden has been at the forefront of new innovations that have been of great importance to health care. During the conference, different perspectives will be touched upon: What future priorities need to be made in research at LiU and nationally? What role should medical technology play in healthcare? What industrial opportunities are there? How can collaboration between actors in research, healthcare and industry be strengthened to increase utilization?

The themes for this year's BME@LiU were:

  • "What are the future challenges for biomedical engineering in Sweden?"
  • "How is R&D in biomedical engineering at LiU leading to a better healthcare?"
