Prerequisites

Basics about Web production, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Intended learning outcomes

The general goal of the course is for the participant to develop an understanding for working with digital media that requires dynamic layout. 
After completion of the course the student should be able to:

- apply relevant web tools for producing web pages with dynamic layout and content

- apply and plan dynamic layout for web pages

- evaluate layout with respect to the intended publication media

Course content

The course covers the following:

  • Design and planning dynamic, grid based layout
  • Layout with HTML5 and CSS3
  • Use and implementation of responsive design for web production
  • Framework for responsive design
  • Using CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery for animation and element display

Teaching and working methods

The teaching consists of lectures, seminars and laboratory exercises. In addition, the student should conduct self-study.
