Intended learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to get fundamental knowledge in the production of still images and video, from planning to delivery. The course mainly covers the technical aspects of image and film production.

The course covers mainly photographic still images and video, not illustration, animation or computer generated images.

After completing the course, students are expected to be able to

  • Plan and execute the production of still images and video of high technical quality.
  • Implement fundamental principles of camera technic, photographic lightning and sound recording.
  • Use digital tools and methods for image editing of still images and video.
  • Deliver still images and video in format, compression and resolution suitable for different platforms.

  • Camera- and lighting technics.
  • Sound recording.
  • Digital photography and video recording.
  • Image manipulation and retouch
  • Practical work in image editing and image manipulation.
  • Practical work in editing of video and sound.
  • Storage and distribution of images, videos and sound.
