This course package is in the first application round, intended for Non-EU residents.
This course package has the aim to make students eligible and prepare them for university studies with Swedish as the language of instruction. To take this course package you need to already know Swedish at the A1 level (CEFR). It finishes at the C1 level.
The course package consists of:
Intensive Introductory Course in Swedish, 7.5 ECTS credits (requires A1 level Swedish according to the CEFR-scale when you start). Course code: 761G34
Qualifying Course in Swedish, 30 ECTS credits (requires A2 level Swedish according to the CEFR-scale when you start). Course code: 761G35
Qualifying Course in Swedish: academic and professional language, 30 ECTS credits (requires B2 level Swedish according to the CEFR-scale when you start). Course code: 761G36
The Intensive introductory course in Swedish starts at the beginning of August, autumn semester, or in the beginning of January, spring semester.
The courses are intensive full-time courses. During the first semester students should acquire a basic knowledge of Swedish and develop their language proficiency as well as gaining familiarity with Swedish society and the Swedish educational system. They should acquire a rapidly progressing knowledge of essential basic grammar as well as a functional and relevant vocabulary.
During the second semester students should acquire an academic and professional knowledge of Swedish as well as gaining familiarity with Swedish society and the Swedish educational system. They should acquire a rapidly progressing knowledge of grammar as well as an expanded vocabulary.
When you have completed the second semester of the Qualifying Course in Swedish, you will fulfill the general requirements for university studies in Swedish.
