Vernissage: Digging into nutrients via urban agriculture

You are warmly welcome to opening of art & science exhibition and a public lecture by Geneviève S. Metson titled ”Urban food gardens and nutrients - balancing multiple sustainability considerations”. You will also have opportunity to meet the artist Elizabeth Carlsson and see her embroidery work, which are inspired by scienftific findings.

Embark on an educational journey where art and science meet in a seamless dance and explore sustainable urban agriculture. Welcome to an exhibition about how nutrients, such as phosphorus and nitrogen, flowing through urban agriculture and how the artist Elizabeth Carlsson turns scientific illustrations and data from research studies to art.

Research just around the corner: Building governance capacities for urban low-carbon transitions

Addressing the climate crisis demands a fundamental transformation of the way we live, work and consume. Cities are expected to take a leading role in driving systemic changes in sectors such as energy, mobility or construction. In this presentation, Professor Harald Rohracher will talk about capabilities needed to implement long-term, goal-oriented and reflexive policies for an urban climate transition. In English.
