The overall – a cherished and colourful garment

It is colourful, full of patches and sometimes also tatty and dirty, but it is the favourite garment for many students. The overall is worn at the start of term, at parties where the dress code prescribes it, and at other social events.

You probably have already seen “Märkesbacken”. It stretches from the northern end of the Corso to the C Building on Campus Valla, along Bredgatan in Norrköping and around the Örat student union building on Campus US. But what exactly is Märkesbacken?
