Linköping University, LiU, conducts world-leading, boundary-crossing research in fields that include materials science, IT and hearing. Advanced technology close to health care

Anders Persson, professor of medical imaging, is in charge of a project focussed on using advanced visualisation to benefit health care. LiU researchers are world leaders in showing how the heart functions, which can make it easier to diagnose heart disease.

Linköping University is based on four campuses at three locations in southern Sweden, in northern Europe. Two of the campuses, Campus Valla and Campus US (Linköping University Hospital), are located in Linköping. Campus Norrköping lies in the centre of Norrköping, while Campus Lidingö with Malmstens Linköping University lies just outside Stockholm.
