Lecture and exhibition on queerness, migration and the body as archive

Welcome to the lecture Cicatrizes: What the Body Remembers – A Conversation on Queerness, Migration, and the Body as Archive and Knowledge.

Aruanã Rosa
Aruanã Rosa is an interdisciplinary researcher and artist from Brazil. His work is inspired by Brazilian queer and Black social movements and theorists. During Linköping Pride, he will present both a lecture and a photographic exhibition, drawing on his own experiences of migration and of living as a racialised and queer person.

The event is a collaboration between the Forum for Gender Studies and Equality at Linköping University, the Municipality of Linköping, and Linköping Pride.

The lecture will be held in English. No registration is required.

Photographic exhibition

In connection with the lecture, the photographic exhibition Cicatrizes – Art and Migration: A Map of Border-Crossing Life will also be on display at the City Library throughout Pride Week (18–24 May).
