Forum for Gender Studies and Equality

Meeting place for researchers, teachers, students and others interested in gender studies and gender equality.

The aim of Forum for gender studies and equality (Forum) is to contribute to gender awareness in order to achieve gender equality. In our work we contribute to the spreading of knowledge and results from gender research to the public, and facilitate communication within the field of gender research.

Forum

  • forms an arena and meeting place in order to create relevant meetings between research and practice within the field of gender studies and gender equality
  • cooperates actively with other actors and functions within the field of gender studies and gender equality within LiU
  • works with all faculties within LiU and is a strategic resource for the courses and study programmes at LiU
  • offers open seminars and lectures in order to facilitate knowledge development and communication within the field of gender studies and gender equality
  • contributes to the development of knowledge and stimulate the debate within gender studies and gender equality
  • performs an active monitoring of our field initiates and runs projects and assignments, internal as well as external, within our field.

Forum was started in 1985. We have a long experience of working with events for LiU and the public. We cooperate with several functions and actors within the field of gender studies and gender equality.
