This course deals with gender representation in literature and film and provides students with analytical tools necessary to deal with the issue of gender within different historical, social and cultural contexts. Theoretical perspectives, concepts and terminology borrowed from gender theory and literary theory are combined in order to critically analyze literary texts and films from different cultures and time periods.
