Culture in Motion, 7.5 credits

Autumn 2024, One-quarter-time, Norrköping

Will open for late application 15 July 2024

This course presents current methods and concepts for interpreting, understanding, and applying the concept of cultural heritage based on research practices based on interdisciplinarity, collaboration and applicability within different specific contexts. The course gives the students an understanding of cultural heritage's diverse conditions of existence, makes both local and global ways of thinking visible, and bridges these. The course has a strong research connection and takes its point of departure in how different academic disciplines struggle to develop research methods that can handle this challenge and help us get away from familiar and often misleading binary pairs of opposites such as 'local' and 'global.'
