We analyse the causes and effects of environmental challenges from social, ecological, and economic perspectives, discussing complex relationships, synergies, and goal conflicts within the planetary boundaries.

Understanding environmental challenges and sustainable development

The course deepens your knowledge of climate change, biodiversity, eutrophication, and water and land issues. Through a scientific perspective, you will analyse environmental problems, while discussing their social, political, and economic contexts. The course equips you with tools to understand the connections between human activity and the planet's sustainability.

Online evening course

The course is fully delivered online and includes lectures, seminars, workshops, and group work. You will participate in online laboratories where you will analyse environmentally impacting substances. The evening lectures are held between 17:15 and 19:00.
