The Intensive Introductory Course in Swedish requires you to know A1 Swedish and finishes at the A2-level (CEFR-scale).
The course runs intensively during approximately four weeks in January/August.
This course is in the second application round, intended for Nordic and EU/EEA citizens or long-term residents.
This course is intended for applicants who do not have Swedish as their mother tounge. The course is part of a selection of courses with the aim to make students eligible and prepare them for university studies with Swedish as the language of instruction.
Each course is applied for separately, and you choose what courses you apply for based on your previous knowledge of Swedish.
This course is intended to be studied in conjunction with:
Qualifying Course in Swedish (requires A2 level Swedish according to the CEFR-scale when you start).
Qualifying Course in Swedish: academic and professional language (requires B2 level Swedish according to the CEFR-scale when you start).
Suggestion on how to apply:
Apply for Intensive Introductory Course in Swedish and Qualifying Course in Swedish for your first semester of studies. While you are studying your first semester, you apply for Qualifying Course in Swedish: academic and professional language.
The Intensive introductory course in Swedish starts at the beginning of August, autumn semester, or in the beginning of January, spring semester.
If you apply for theIntensive Introductory Course in Swedish and the Qualifying Course in Swedish the same semester, you need to pass the Intensive Introductory Course to continue to the Qualifying Course in Swedish.
When you have completed both semesters of the Qualifying Course in Swedish, you will fulfill the general requirements in Swedish and Civics for University Studies in Sweden.
