This course deals with the basics of financial markets. How to value stocks, bonds, debt, investment decisions and firms. Investment decision requires some techniques as well as an understanding of how to calculate the required return on economic investments. The course gives an understanding of both corporate and personal investment and savings decisions. In addition the course introduces optimal choices between debt and equity, dividend policies and the use of options for hedging and investment valuation.
