This contract education course is for caregivers who treat users, clients, residents and patients with physical, psychological, social or cognitive disabilities.

The emphasis is on, "How can I identify, systematise and support a user, client, resident or patient from a holistic perspective with a theoretical foundation?"

The primary content of the course involves improving your skills when it comes to dealing with and spotting individual resources regardless of the disability concerned. In treating such individuals, you will need to draw on medical and social research, psychology and care science with interventions that help people participate in daily and community life. The interventions also make it easier for patients to experience a sense of hope and security, not to mention physical, psychological and social wellbeing. Much of the emphasis is on the interplay between caregivers, patients and their families.

We also stress ethical issues involved in interacting with individuals who have disabilities.
