Neuroengineering downloads

Financially supported by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research

Download of APPs are available for patient-specific modeling, simulations and visualization of the electric field around deep brain stimulation (DBS) leads.

ELMA

ELMA - MRI tissue classification software for setting up electric field FEM simulations in Comsol Multiphysics

ELMA is a free Matlab-based stand-alone program developed by the Neuroengineering group for setting up patient-specific FEM models of DBS in COMSOL Multiphysics. It is used to crop and classify the tissue in preoperative MRI with T1, T2 or proton density weighting. The classification is then converted into electric conductivity matrices for use in the FEM simulations.

DBSim

Deep Brain Stimulation Simulator (DBSim) – software for patient-specific simulations of DBS

DBSim is a free COMSOL Multiphysics-based stand-alone program developed by the Neuroengineering group for performing patient-specific FEM simulations of DBS based on the data generated by ELMA.

DBviS

DBviS - software for visualization of DBS research results

Logotype for DBviS.

DBviS is a free software developed as an extension to 3D Slicer (an extensive tool for medical image analysis). DBviS is developed by the Neuroengineering group at LiU in collaboration with the Neuroengineering group at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) to fully visualize the research results from group analysis, image analysis, and methodological studies within the field of DBS.
