This course deals with children’s rights in social work socio-legal research, with a particular focus on methodologies in the study of rights.
During the course we will deal with theoretical perspectives of children, childhood and children’s position(-s) in society. We will also problematise concepts such as equaliberty, discrimination, social rights, rule of law, rights to protection and participation, and the best interests of the child.
The course furthermore includes studies of practice-oriented work to critically review and/or realise children’s rights in various settings.
