I am is working on developing bioelectronic growth platforms for enhancing plant growth via electrical stimulation at Laboratory of Organic Electronics.

Presentation

Alexandra Sandéhn did her BSc degree in Biomedical Engineering at Linköping university during 2016-2019. In 2019, she continued her MSc degree in Applied Physics at Linköping university, with a degree specialization in Biomedical Engineering Materials. Her MSc thesis focused on the development of Capillary Organic Electronic Ion Pump (c-OEIP) for delivery of biologically relevant ions to intact tropical plants and elucidating their effect. Her thesis was performed in the Electronic Plants group at the Laboratory of Organic Electronics, under supervision of Dr. Iwona Bernacka-Wojcik and Associate Professor Eleni Stavrinidou.

In September 2021, she returned to the Electronic Plants group as a research assistant and continued her work on c-OEIPs and tropical plants. In January 2023, she started her PhD in the same group, and as a part of the graduate school Wallenberg Wood Science Center (WWSC). Currently, she is working on developing bioelectronic growth platforms for enhancing plant growth via electrical stimulation.
