Karl-Ludwig Besser is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Communication Systems, Department of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University, Sweden.

He received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering from Technische Universität Dresden, Germany in 2018 and his PhD in January 2022 from Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany. From March 2023 to December 2024, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Princeton University, NJ, USA. Since January 2025, he is working at Linköping University.

Research Interests

His research interests include ultra-reliable communications, resilience of communication systems, copulas, physical layer security, and the application of machine learning in communications.
