Magnus Herberthson

Professor

My research is in the field of biomedicine, in particular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), where I develop mathematical methods for MRI with diffusion applications. I am also the director of doctoral studies and teach undergraduate calculus courses.

Simulation of brain

Biomedical Image Science

We develop methods & techniques for depicting anatomy & function in the human body & its organs. From imaging techniques, through methods of analysis and quantification of image information, to validation of new methods and image-based biomarkers.

Our research focuses on a number of different subject areas such as algebra, geometry, topology, dynamic systems, combinatorics and graph theory. The division consists of about twenty teachers, researchers and doctoral students.
