The Role of Literature in EFL Teaching and Learning
My research explores the role of literature in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education, focusing on teachers’ justifications for incorporating literary texts and the challenges of fostering reading engagement. By examining the complex nature of literary engagement in upper secondary educational settings, my dissertation highlights the evolving role of literature in developing critical thinking and aesthetic appreciation in language learning.
Teaching
I have experience teaching Swedish and English at both lower and upper secondary levels. As a doctoral student, I primarily teach language and literature didactics courses in English, as well as Swedish, within both teacher education programs and single subject courses.
