Machine learning and statistical modeling for safer roadwork environments

My research integrates machine learning and statistical modeling to analyze repeated measures data of vehicle path, speed, and acceleration, specifically in roadwork environments.

By analyzing the trends in driver behavior over time and under various conditions, I develop predictive models that guide dynamic traffic monitoring and enhance the design of adaptive, risk-sensitive roadwork systems.

Apart from my research, I am a Teaching Assistant in Probability and Statistics as well as Mathematical Statistics, where I teach students to understand basic concepts such as estimation, inference, and application of statistical methods to real-world problems.

The research is funded by the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket). I am also a member of the Traffic Safety and Traffic Systems (TST) research group at VTI – the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute.
