Presentation

Dr. Zhangjun Hu is an Associate Professor in the Molecular Surface Physics and Nanoscience (MOLYT) Division at Linköping University. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at Linköping University (2014–2018) and held postdoctoral fellowships at Linköping University (2010–2014) and Tongji University (2008–2010). He earned his Docent qualification from Linköping University (2018), a Ph.D. (2008), and a B.S. (2002) from Anhui University.

Research

Chemistry lies at the heart of science. My research applies advanced chemical knowledge to address critical challenges in material science, with applications in biomedical technology and sustainable development.

Key research directions include:

  1. Design and synthesis of novel molecular and nanoscale probes for targeted bioimaging, sensing, and monitoring of dynamic biological processes; and theranostics.(e.g., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int Ed., Anal. Chem., Small, Nano Research, ACS Appl. Nano Mater., etc.)
  2. Creation of innovative materials and methodologies for perovskite solar cells and electrocatalysis, contributing to renewable energy solutions. (e.g., Science, Joule, Nature Commun. Appl. Catal. B, Chem. Eng. J., etc.)
