ADDLAB hosts a modern and versatile range of equipment for additive manufacturing, designed for both metallic and polymer materials. The machine park is used for everything from education and research projects to industrial collaborations and pilot production.
The equipment enables the entire process – from idea and design to finished component – and is used both to explore new materials and to optimise manufacturing processes. Through the centre, users can, for example, study how different process parameters affect microstructure, mechanical strength and surface finish, or develop design solutions tailored for additive manufacturing.
The equipment includes, among others:
- Metal printing: Freemelt ONE (Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion) – for research and development in metallic materials and processes.
- Polymer printing: Several printers based on material extrusion (e.g. Prusa MK4, XL, etc.) and SLA technology (Formlabs Form 4B), used for prototyping, teaching and product development.
