CHSCOM - Cognitive Hearing Science for Communication

360 million people worldwide have disabling hearing loss and the brains significance in listening is great. We hear with the ear, but listen and understand with the brain. Scientists from all around the world meet every two years in Linköping to discuss the latest research in the field of Cognitive hearing science.

Next conference will be in 2024, 9-12 June in Linköping.

The last conference in 2022 had the following themes:

  • Hearing loss, cognition, aging and dementia
  • Communicative interaction and effort
  • Neural coding of auditory signals
  • Towards cognitive technologies for hearing enhancement

The conference is organised by the Linnaeus Centre HEAD, Linköping University.
