This project focuses on interactive touch tables as learning tools at a science center. We are interested in how and why users interact with a visualization and what they learn.

It is already possible to perform part of the autopsy with the assistance of mixed reality, and fully digital autopsies might be achieved in the future. In the long term, this technology could render autopsies more efficient and legally certain.

Ben Shedd, winner of several awards for his scientific films for dome cinemas, is LiU’s first guest professor in visual scientific communication. The guest professorship has been financed by a donation from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.

Visualisation Center C at Campus Norrköping won the prize for best 3D film at the international film festival Fulldome Festival in Brno, Czech Republic, on July 30, 2021.
