Structural and topology optimization
In the research field structural optimization, computational tools are developed to make it possible to find optimal load carrying structures automatically.
Transport and mobility - a high-profile research area
Transport and mobility is one of LiU's strategically selected areas of development that is of great relevance to our society. The research has three main orientations; the traffic system, the logistics system and the vehicular system.
Circular public transport
Projektet syftar till att skapa en mer cirkulär kollektivtrafik genom att utveckla hållbara upphandlingsmetoder och förlänga fordons livslängd, vilket minskar kostnader och miljöpåverkan inom transportsektorn.
Excellent energy management using AI - XEMAI
The project aims to enhance digitalisation within the manufacturing industry to improve energy efficiency and achieve sustainability.
ACCORD: AdvanCing CORe Diagnosis in remanufacturing
ACCORD is helping Swedish manufacturing industries become more sustainable by improving remanufacturing processes. By enhancing how we assess used products, we can reduce waste, save resources, and extend product life.
Remometer
We help manufacturers and other actors to start remanufacturing by investigating their suitability and readiness to start remanufacturing.
LINK-SIC - Linköping Center for Sensor Informatics and Control
LINK-SIC is a Vinnova Competence Center for industry-academia cooperation in the general area of control systems and signal processing. The center's operational period was between 2017 and 2023.
Mechanical properties of structural materials
We work with a series of advanced mechanical tests methods to determine the mechanical properties of a material. By combining these methods with microstructural investigations we can study the active deformation and damage mechanisms.
