Theme: A Theory of Practice
We hope to create a meeting point between researchers and practitioners where we can inspire interesting and useful discussions on the effect of theory and research on practice, and the inspiration practice gives to theory and research on adult learning in its widest scope.
People who are interested in all fields of adult learning tend to research and/or theorize about practical aspects of adult learning, be it in the workplace, in schools and other organized situations or self directed. And people who have earlier participated in the Nordic Conferences on Adult Learning have been asking for a meeting between practitioners and researchers. So our aim now is to inspire discussions around research and theory of adult learning and its connection to the practice with participants from both fields.
We welcome presentations on finished or on-going research and theory-building on adult learning as well as presentations on practical cases where research or theory has inspired a specific practice, with the aim of creating interesting discussions about the relationship between theory and practice.
