The focus of my research is road safety, in the human in the transport system. Driver fatigue and what causes it and what can be done to reduce the risk of crashes due to driver fatigue is of extra interest to me.

Associate professor in Traffic Medicine

I am an associate professor in Traffic Medicine and currently work at Swedish Road and Transport Research institute, as Research director in the field of Human Factor.

Safe and sustainable use of the transport systems is of great importance to human both in order to ensure no fatalities or seriously injured when travelling, but also to ensure mobility and sustainable travel. A large part of the research we carry out is funded by the EU, which includes issues related to self-driving vehicles and how vehicles and systems will be developed and adapted in the future to benefit humans.
