Georg Bach Jensen
I am a doctoral student at Linköping University and work clinically as a consultant neonatologist in the Neonatal-IVA (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) at Linköping University Hospital.
My research focuses on the development of the immune system in preterm infants and how nutrition and other factors influence the risk of serious complications, such as sepsis and necrotising enterocolitis (NEC). By combining clinical studies with immunological analyses, proteomics, and biomarker research, I aim to contribute to a better understanding of disease mechanisms and to identify markers that may enable earlier disease detection and improved treatment. The goal is to contribute to more individualised care and better short- and long-term outcomes for the most preterm infants.
