Faculty of Medicine

In my work as vice dean, I work with collaboration, above all together with our education programs at the Faculty of Medicine and with Region Östergötland, Region Jönköping County, Region Kalmar County and the municipalities in Östergötland. I work together with the vice dean for education Malin Lindqvist Appell and focus above all on issues of clinical practice. In my work, I sit on the faculty board and the University Health Committee, and I am chairman of the Council for Healthcare Development. I am part of the theme group CREN (Circulation, Respiration, Erythron and Kidney) and I am responsible for the cardiology teaching in semester 6 of the medical program. I am the main supervisor of two PhD students, Walid El-Saadi and Per Andersson, and co-supervisor of Antheia Kissopoulou, Sammy Zwackman and Zeid Mahmood.

Southeast healthcare region

In addition to this, I am also part of the management of the Southeast healthcare region, Knowledge Council of Medicine and emergency care, Knowledge Council of Diagnostics and the senses, National Program Area for Heart and Vascular Diseases and chairman of the Regional Program Area for Cardiovascular Diseases. Clinical activities at the Clinic Medicine at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping.
