Jenny Koppner

Adjunct Assistant Lecturer

I work at the Medical Program, and have recently defended my thesis focused on stress and mental health. I am especially interested in educational issues, regardless if they concern students, patients and their families, or colleagues.

Clincal work, research, and education

Since 2023 I work as a GP at a small primary healthcare center. General medicine suits me well as I have a broad medical interest, and especially enjoy the meeting with patients. My strongest interest is, however, in issues regarding education, and therefore I have engaged in work with medical students, both at my clinic and at the Linköping university. Educational perspectives in healthcare is multifaceted and it will be interesting to see how the future unfolds, but so far I have mainly worked as course coordinator, and tutored students in different settings. In the autumn of 2024 I will also start work within Temagrupp PU.

Having recently defended my thesis I am now shaping my future as a researcher. My thesis concerned stress and mental health during societal hardship. During PhD-studies I participated in forming and initiating the HOLD (Healthy OLD)-study, which I will continue to work on. This is a study that focuses on healthy aging in our modern society. I have a large interest in developing my competence in qualitative research and am at the moment involved in a study investigating experiences from telephone counselling to patients with poor mental health. I am also participating in the EU-project EUVABECO (European Vaccination Beyond COVID-19), which aims to aims to equip European Union Member States with validated implementation plans for vaccination practices using the experiences from the COVID-19 pandemic.
