Postdoc

As a postdoctoral researcher, I study women’s health and develop maternal healthcare programmes. Through research and teaching in sexual and reproductive health, I aim to support a more equitable, person-centred, and evidence-based healthcare system.

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the MAMA Research Hub at Linköping University, where I conduct research on women’s health and maternal health care.

My current research focuses on the development of individualised maternal health care programs tailored to different risk profiles, as well as digital innovations that can increase access to care and contribute to more equitable maternal health care.

I received my PhD from Umeå University in 2025 with the dissertation ‘Beyond the Obstetric Gaze’, which highlights the long-term and multifaceted consequences of severe perineal trauma after childbirth for women’s health and working lives. My dissertation was based on women’s experiences and needs and aimed to strengthen the quality, accessibility, and equity of care.

I am a registered nurse and midwife with clinical experience in medical inpatient care, psychiatry, midwifery care, and gynaecological inpatient care. I also have several years of experience teaching in the nursing and midwifery program and have a particular interest in the interplay between research, education, and clinical practice.
