Any gains in terms of health outcomes, cost savings and efficiency associated with new treatment guidelines will only be realized when these guidelines are effectively implemented and adhered to in clinical practice. Therefore, my thesis aims to evaluate and analyze the treatment pattern, diffusion and the implementation of treatment guidelines for heart failure by using registry data.
