AIST Lab is participating in the gathering for European testbeds to establish itself as a new arena where students, researchers, teachers, and companies come together to develop and evaluate technologies and didactic and pedagogical solutions.

This week, the European Edtech Testbed Conversation is taking place in Malmö — a meeting point for representatives from testbed environments across Europe working in the field of educational technology. The aim of the gathering is to share experiences, methods, and data in order to collaboratively build more sustainable, ethical, and needs-driven EdTech solutions.

AIST Lab is participating in establishing itself as a new testbed where students, researchers, teachers, and developers can come together to co-develop and evaluate both technologies and didactic solutions, from technology-focused experiments to exploration in authentic learning environments. Testbeds are being highlighted as a key component in the realisation of the EU's Digital Education Action Plan 2027, and AIST builds on the experiences from Ifous EdTest — Sweden’s first national testbed for EdTech — which has played a central role in strengthening teachers’ digital competence and supporting EdTech companies in their innovation processes.

Through AIST, new opportunities are also created to connect testbed activities directly to teacher education and professional development, thereby enhancing both the educational quality and relevance in a rapidly evolving digital society.
