Biomedical Modeling and Informatics

Biomedical modelling and informatics is an interdisciplinary field that integrates medicine and data science to manage and analyse biomedical data. By using advanced algorithms, we can interpret large amounts of data to understand complex biomedical processes, develop new treatment methods, and improve diagnostic tools. We promote precision medicine and enhance healthcare by enabling informed and personalised medical decisions.

Research fields in biomedical engineering

Health informatics

Access to relevant and valid information is a prerequisite for delivering safe and reliable health care. Information is also a cornerstone for developing methods, processes and businesses. Health informatics enables this.

Clinical Informatics

The goals of our research are to gather knowledge from medical data and improve the flow of information in healthcare systems.
