Collaboration at CKS

We create meeting spaces for our partner municipalities and for other local authorities, as well as for regions, national government, and other actors connected to the municipal sphere.

Meeting spaces and collaboration at the Centre for Local Government Studies (CKS)

Our primary task is to contribute with research-based knowledge and new perspectives to a municipal sector in transition. By communicating our own and others’ research and making it widely accessible, we strive to be a significant voice within the municipal sphere.

Our work is built on collaboration with the municipal sector. We work to ensure that results from municipality-relevant research can be used by elected officials and civil servants to strengthen their strategic competence. In this way, CKS supports ongoing strategic development efforts. CKS also considers it essential that research questions are formulated in dialogue with municipalities.

We regularly organize training sessions, seminars, and conferences, and participate in various networks relevant to municipal strategy.
