In this project we will build on our previous findings from the MINISTOP 1.0 trial. The MINISTOP 2.0 trial aims to assess the effectiveness of the MINISTOP 2.0 app integrated in primary child health care for parents of children aged 2.5 years on healthy dietary behaviors, physical activity, body mass index ,sleep and screen time. The MINISTOP 2.0 trial will include 500 children in Region Östergötland and data collection will be intiatied in January 2020.
Childhood obesity remains a significant global health challenge. The preschool age (2-5 years) has been identified as a key period for intervention.
