The First Rwandan Woman with a PhD in Mathematics
Lydie Mpinganzima was one of the first PhD students accepted within the Sida-funded collaboration between Linköping University and the University of Rwanda. Her PhD degree led to a postdoc position and today she does research and teaches in Rwanda.

What’s zero to the power of zero? When an eighth-year pupil asked that question, Jonas Bergman Ärlebäck, senior lecturer at LiU’s Department of Mathematics, had to rush over to a local primary school to discuss mathematics.
