We are looking for a research engineer in neurobiology/psychology. 

The position

Your tasks will mainly consist of working under the project “Hormonal modulation during dyadic social interactions” funded by the Swedish Research Council. As postdoc, you will carry out research on context-dependent changes in the brain as well as oxytocin, vasopressin, and dopamine levels during social interaction. This research investigates social and affective processes in healthy people and how these are manifested in so-called neuromodulation between these key hormones and the central nervous system.

The person we need

We are looking for you with a PhD in neuroscience or psychology. 

We want you to have: 

  • experience and knowledge of social and affective processes
  • good ability for written communication
  • experience in research into the role of sex hormones in social attachment
  • experience in researching social and affective processes from a psycho/neuro perspective 
  • experience in researching social and affective processes with a focus on social interaction and stress

Meritorious is if you have: 

  • experience and knowledge in data collection and analysis of functional MRI images

The position requires good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. 

The workplace

You will work in the Division of Cell and Neurobiology with Dr. India Morrison and our internal and external partners. We offer an international research environment with regular seminars and active participation in international congresses. We provide laboratories with psychophysical data collection and blood analysis as well as access to MRI resources.

The employment

This employment is full-time with a temporary contract of one year. 

Starting in november or by agreement.
